Code of Honor
"I have been asked what I mean by 'Word of honor.' I will tell you: Place me behind prison walls-walls of stone ever so high, ever so thick, reaching ever so far into the ground-there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape; but stand me on the floor and draw a chalk line around me and have me give my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, never! I'd die first."
-Karl G. Maeser
This quote Is saying that when you promise something and said it in words, you can't be able to break it because then no one can believe or trust you. By having to keep your word you are showing that you can keep your promises no matter the cause. You can say that you keep your word on going to the bank and deposit some money and actually doing it but if you don't then no one will listen to your words again and that one opportunity you had is gone to waste.
